The Woodlands Waterfront is a very new place - it was only opened last year! It was part of URA's Parks and Waterbodies Plan, and is a place built along a then-little-known stretch of coastline. The waterfront has a event space, a picnic green with shelters, a jetty walk, and a multi-generational playground.
The place used to be a little-known tranquil coastline, where it was kept as reserve space. However, since URA had no use for it in the near/somewhat distant future, it decided to turn it into a recreational space.
